Bali is a tropical paradise and one of my favorite places in the world! If you haven’t been you should definitely add it to your bucket list. I went to Bali for one month to chase the sun, surf and escape the European winter. I stayed most time in Canggu which is one of my favorite places in the world. It feels a bit like ‘mini-Australia’. It is a vibrant surf town on the West Coast full of organic cafes, little shops, cool bars and skate bowls.
I stayed at ‘Sika homestay’ which I 100% recommend. You get a big room with private bathroom for a very cheap price. It is right in the center of Canggu and there is a swimming pool. ‘Sika’, the local woman who owns it is so nice and her kids are adorable!
I also went on a day trip to Ubud, Bali’s cultural heart in between the mountains and stunning rice fields. We went to the Sacred Monkey forest, the Ubud market and the Tegalalang rice fields.
TIP! Bali Swing. There is a famous swing in Bali but it costs a lot of money and there is a long waiting line. If you go to the Tegalalang rice fields there are lots of small cafes on the side of the road. Keep your eyes open, cause some of them have swings for FREE.
