A trip to Boston & New York together with my friend Lilla. As part of a global tour; working as a photographer on business, tech & networking events. Business & Pleasure combined.
I was shocked by how big everything is in the States and how far you have to drive to get somewhere. All the products, food or meals are more than double the size as in Europe. After staying a couple of days in Worcester we went to Boston, Connecticut and New York to start a series of business, tech and networking events.
We stayed in my Worcester near Boston in a big castle where Lilla used to live. She showed me around her hometown and we had the real American experience at Hooters. We also went to Walmart like 5 times in two days. They have so much stuff and I could not believe how many varieties of products they have. Unfortunately the healthy section is hard to find.
What I love about traveling the world is that wherever you go, you can always meet up with people you met somewhere else in the world. I met up with some friends in Boston that I hadn’t seen for years.
My job is to take pictures, videos and content for instagram for the organisation called Startup Campus. It is a Hungarian company that basically helps to startups to grow and connect them with investors. They are doing a global tour in different cities around the world. It’s amazing I can join this tour, travel the world, grow my skills as a photographer and meet so many interesting people in the business world.
In New York we stayed in the Mariott hotel in a room with view on times square. We went to Techday; the biggest tech event where I suddenly met the blue power ranger. It is super funny cause I never know how to describe what I do so when ppl ask me I always say I am a full-time power ranger. It is even on my business cards. When they ask me which color I always say blue.
On the last day we had a big goodbye party in the castle together with all the startups that took part of the USA tour with ‘Startup Campus’. It was an exhausting but great trip. I can’t wait to go back to New York to explore more.
While I am finishing this video I am already packing for the next trip which is to Vienna in Austria. The camera batteries are charged, I had some sleep and I am ready to go again!
