Why it’s okay to feel lost! The journey to self-discovery.

It’s been a long and very adventurous journey to self-discovery. The last couple of months or let’s say years have been crazy. It has been a bit of a rollercoaster. Backpacking many years around the world searching for the place where I belong, who I am and what I want to do with my life.

My blog played a big role in this journey as I love photography and creating inspiring content. But to be honest… As much as I love traveling, I don’t really feel like a travel blogger. For a long time I did not really know what to focus on or what specific topic to choose. I’ve been experimenting, changing, over thinking and never fully committed to ‘travel’ or one specific subject. You know… I just have so many more things to talk about or to offer then talking about which places you should go. They say, to be successful, you have to focus on one specific thing. How can you possibly focus on one thing only if you are still figuring out life and discovering who you are?

You gotta f*ck around in the general before getting specific.

It’s like deciding which one specific job you want to do for the rest of your life… Mannn in this big world of options how can we possible know what we want to do if we don’t experiment first or try out different things. Aside that it is also too hard not to get lost in the information overload, the get rich fast commercials or have you ever seen these online advertisements about incredible successful kids like ‘This girl has her own successful 7 figure business at age 20… Like wtf, are these ads just designed to make us feel dumb? Go… away…!

Finding answers in your journey to self-discovery

You might have written down your ‘life plan’ so many times; over and over again, but that’s okay! Every single time… You will get one step closer towards finding clarity and fitting together all the pieces of the big life puzzle. Because we grow and develop ourselves, life will always be an unfinished puzzle. Life is a journey on its own.

At this moment, I finally feel like all the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. For the first time I see a clear direction where I am going, I found a place to call home in Barcelona, I know what I am doing and I even found love . I feel better than ever before and it is only improving. But daaaammnnnnn it took me a while!

All the thoughts, struggles, failures & successes shape you to the person you are now. Everything happens for a reason and if you are feeling lost, know that it is all part of the journey to self-discovery. Clarity will come. You will learn from every experience and step by step you will get to know yourself better.

In order to be found… you gotta get lost.

Whatever you do, don’t play it safe! Get uncomfortable, experiment, f*ck things up, go to places, meet new people and try out as many things as possible. Keep working on yourself and pushing towards your goals.

From now on, I’ll be focusing much less on travel and more on how to be a boss, growing your career and creating a healthy lifestyle. I’ve got only one more thing to say and that is stick with me if you’re all about chasing your dreams, seeking, what sets your sole on fire, breaking the rules, creating the best version of yourself and being a badass cause I have a lots of cool stuff coming upppp!

Xo

Oh you are the sweetest! Yes babe, do it. You will absolutely love Spain. It’s all about getting out of the comfort zone and experiencing new things. Parents often didn’t get the same opportunities so they might not always understand. Just follow your heart and it’ll be okay!
