Ahhh it’s that time of the year. 2018 is just around the corner so I’m ready to make some good ‘New Year resolutions’. Even if you are determined to make them come true this year, it’s not always easy. Luckily there are some tricks that can help you. Here are my top 4 New Year resolutions for 2018 and some tips on how to reach your goals.
This year is gonna be my year!
1. Focus on my blog & make it amazing
First of all, my number one New Year resolution is to grow my blog and inspire people as much as I can. 2017 was a year of learning, experimenting, fucking things up, doing it again and finding my way. Now I finally have a clear vision of what I want to do and how to share it with the world. There are so may things coming up, such as my first vlog. Keep your eyes peeled!
2. Have a healthy routine
Probably everyone’s New Year resolution but yes, I’m gonna try to eat healthy, exercise regularly and go to bed & wake up around the same time. The best way to keep up with a healthy routine is to create good habits! Imagine how your perfect day would look like and practice this. If you have a bad day and fuck it up, no worries. As long as you keep on trying over again.
3. Travel often & go on spontaneous trips
I’m starting the year good because in one week I’m off to Baliiiiii :D! I am so excited to escape from winter, chase the sun and surf again. Exploring the other side of the world is amazing but this year I also want to discover more places nearby in Europe. Spontaneous trips are usually the best and who knows where you end up!
4. Be organized & declutter
The first thing I have done today is clean my whole apartment, sort out the paperwork and clean my laptop. I want to start the year with a clear mind and ready to focus. Everything is triple backuped and all the unnecessary stuff is gone. All I need to do now is keep up with it! No more dirty socks lingering around.

When you want to stick to your New Year resolutions it’s important not to make too many. Fully focus 100% on the things you really want to improve the next year. Write down your goals and hang them in a visible spot so you keep reminding yourself. Also remember that life can never be perfect and it’s all about balance. When you fail just start over again.
Always make a plan and prepare before you start. Know that if you really focus, it only takes 4 weeks to create a new (healthy) habit. So whatever you want to do, whether you want to eat healthier, be more organized or even learn a new language, don’t give up in the first month. After that it will be easier to hold on.
A goal should scare you a little and excite you a lot!
